Mortsel met le couple royal à la porte

Une majorité de rechange au conseil communal de Mortsel a décidé d'enlever les portraits du couple royal présents dans la maison communale. Il s'agit d'une première en Belgique, annoncent vendredi Gazet van Antwerpen et Het Belang van Limburg. Le chef de file Vlaams B. Mark Schampaert avait plaidé pour ce retrait. Tant au sein de la majorité que dans l'opposition, et même au sein des partis, des voix se sont élevées en faveur et contre ce projet. Groen! s'est abstenu tandis que le Vlaams B. y était clairement favorable. Le vote s'est clôturé sur 11 voix pour, 7 contre et 9 abstentions.

Vlaams (bêta) -hln.be- Een wisselmeerderheid in de Mortselse gemeenteraad heeft beslist de portretten van het vorstenpaar uit het stadhuis te verwijderen. Dat is een primeur in België. VB-fractieleider Mark Schampaert had, naar het voorbeeld van zijn collega uit Affligem, gepleit voor het verwijderen van de portretten. Zowel binnen de meerderheid als de oppositie en binnen de partijen zelf waren er voor- en tegenstemmen.

Groen! onthield zich en Vlaams Belang was voor de verwijdering. Uiteindelijk waren er elf stemmen voor, zeven tegen en negen onthoudingen.

In the majority and the opposition, and even in political parties, voices rose in favour and counters this project. groen! (flemish ecologist party) abstained while Vlaams B. was clearly favorable there. The vote was enclosed on 11 votes for, 7 against and 9 abstentions.
